When we founded Aurora three decades ago, we set out to build something different. A firm where responsive, careful, expert work done by people who genuinely care would always come first. Three decades, hundreds of clients, and countless projects later, we’re proud of what we built together with our incredible team.
As we looked toward Aurora’s future, we wanted to make sure two things continued to thrive: the careers of our talented staff, and the quality of service our clients have come to rely on. After meeting with several firms, we chose Citadel because we recognized in them what we always saw in ourselves. A team that shares our values, our passion, and our commitment to doing the work the right way.
After 30 years in business, today marks a new chapter. We’re proud to share that effective May 30, 2026, Aurora has officially joined Citadel EHS – one of the most respected Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainability consulting firms on the West Coast.
Together, Aurora and Citadel are now a combined team of nearly 120 professionals across the Western US, offering an even broader range of services in building sciences, industrial hygiene and safety, environmental engineering, environmental compliance, and ESG/sustainability.
For our clients, colleagues, and friends: the care, responsiveness, and integrity you’ve come to expect from Aurora will remain. With Citadel, we now bring a deeper bench, an expanded team, and broader capabilities to every project.
